Blogging ....The Mindo meter

Only a peaceful mind can open up.Blogging had always been a measure of my ability to think, write and it served as mood indicator. I have used my personal blogs to learn the reflections of the time.Ever since I got in to TR 69 project i didnt find time or peace of mind to even update my personal blogs.

I have more than two internet ready systems at home.Since I am preparing for exams requiring verbal and writing skills I should have blogged diurnally to test my skills atleast!

Friends I tell you once you pour down your thoughts in some space they get shape and size. When you get back to that again they tell you what you are responsible for! Try hanging some wall posters in your room and find out how they turn your thiking machine and actions.

" Atleast from nw" this is the phrase I have used umpteen times in my life to renew my efforts and intersts in my pursuits. I appeal the same to this community(Am i a real fool to appeal to this community !!???). Sharing is the only way to expand.Hardly we fail to realize this in the short life and hence we are caught in the virtual race. The race is not all about who comes first but who remains best after the race.

I would like to share a threat we will have to face when our kids urge us for their college fees:)
The rupee is slowly gaining over the dollar!
The salary hikes are 20-30% in india compared to 3-5% in US.
So all this will fill the gap of so said outsourcing advantage in about 15 -20 years. When they whites no more enjoy cost cuts they will move to a different location or either do it by themselves.
To combat such a situation we need to have either an alternative profession or grandfathers panna veedu .Else we need to make ourselves prepared to such a change with global exposure and the abilty to work and lead with cross geographical teams.

I would like to know how are we going to approach it. If things go by my wish I am planning to have my graduate education and some work experience abroad. If things go awry i plan to improve my tech skills and acquire a better job and prepare towards the global culture.

Thats all I have to babble for the moment.......... and my blogometer shows me to be ambitious as I write this for now...

Convocation - The Final Huddle

Guys !!!

It seems we will be getting papers confering a majestic engineering degree on April 7th.

I got suggestions that we can book tickets in a same train/ bus and do that final huddle..

JP went ahead and asked "How will it be if we can hire a bus and go for a tour along the way"

Now its open to discussion....Seems friday is holiday and three days will be there for us to spare!!

Seems JPs idea is good but its worth only when there is atleast a group of 40 behind it...We want a shepeherd first and if he comes I am sure the sheeps will follow hime...Isn't?? Who is the shepherd???

" THE WANDERERS" bandwagon starts with PACHAIKILLI MUTHU CHARAM

Hi guyz and Girlz!!

Week ends come once in a week just a mini pause to the fast paced world.

We freaked out by our will every day a year back hardly having money to spend. But now when we are blessed with money we don’t find enough time and friends giving us just two days a week.

That’s too isn’t going to stay long, hence before life tightens its hold lets cheek out the frills of life.Hence we have decided to start a ROAMING CLUB called WANDERERS.

The beta version of it is being announced now and if its received well we can sit together and build upon it.

Now  let me come to the point!!

PACHAI KILLI MUTHU CHARAM – a charming movie is going to be out this week end and how many of you will be interested in joining us this Saturday to check it out.

Depending on the numbers we can book tickets either at SATYAM or KAMALA (Its also a nice theatre, worth for the money you pay)

If you are inclined just reply me with your choice  within tomorrow afternoon.

I will get back to you tomorrow evening about the plans in case if we need to do any.

Any suggestions /critics/comment are welcome.

Regards,

Deepak

The way we lived!!!

Recently when i happened to travel during a early morning the empty roads and the KARAIKUDI(Seems puthuvayal bus is now an ultra deluxe one) buses traced me back to our majestic days at KARAIKUDI.

Final year would be eternal in our memories hence I would like to take you guys to the first year days!!

It was just about two to two in one fine tuesday afternoon. At Kambar Illam(AKA SCH (The bestr ever hostel??)) ECE guys were rushing out of the mess and everyone was busy gazing over thick JAIN & JAIN(We never came across such a thick book in the later semesters!).

The cause behind those deeds is a tiny liltle PROFFESSOR OF CHEMISTRY..hope you get the name in your lips ..now she might not be of big concern but do you remember how she made us dance to her tunes in those days..making late comers stand out,,,Making us stand still by asking vague questions,,,Of course we were first bit ashamed to stand before the entire class but when it become a regular practise among most we bid adieu to our senses

Next big hero is our ENGLISH PROFESSOR who used to tell us "WHEN I WAS IN COURT ........"Hardly any one could have a count on the number of exercise we did for his research purpose...I did it expecting that one day it will be evaluated and given back to us.Do you remember the seminars he initiated..I still remember how roll number one started with a stare on that first seminar,,Hope it went well until some 7 members..He threatned me to give a big zero in the internal if I dont take a seminar that day...and we never did it in rest of his classes,,,

The real classroom feeling was there for a while during PHYSICS classes.. CHANDRA MOULISWARAN is few of the respectable teachers in our life at ACCET.I was immersed in his lectures several times..Hope you can remember "Appdi Pakkracha..".."THE FIRST MAN IN THE FIRST ROW AND THE LAST MAN IN THE LAST ROW""......"NALLA IDLI PONGAL SAPTINGALA!!"..Gentle man!!! Those Dummy practicals,,,laboriuos workshop(I almost cried when I was given during my first class..and some how managed to get out of it...)LAKSHMI NARAYAN who made us redraw !! So goes the first year story.....................................

Those were some small recollections from my hard disk..Hope many such can come out if you can continue this thread!!

Lone but not alone

Hi Elites!

Its been almost a month since we started this blog and I am the lone person scribbling here.Hope many are not aware of the existence of this blog.

And again I would like to share something I had since I was an Accetian two weeks back.Me,Ananandm,Suresh,Puivy set sailed to a resort.(Thats how they told that place and took me there) in the ECR where all the grand old students of ACCET met. Again we were lone there but not alone. We were surronded by the DGM and GMs of various government offices and several entrepreneurs.

There is an active association called ACCETOBA MADRAS CHAPTER.We were the youngest ACCETIANS among the gathering(We got some gifts for that:)).Most of them were from the mid seventies batch and hardly there were anyone after 1984 batch.

They conduct a get-together with their families once in a quarter and the organisation serves to expand their professional contacts. We too had some take aways..When puivy said that he was looking for a job, there were four to five immediate calls for his resumes.

One of our MECH Professor had invited us for the meet and his purpose behind it was to raise funds to raise the ACCETOBA building. He asked to arrange a meeting with our students so that top officials could speak with us and make us contrinbute to the next phase of the building (Construction of panels and guest rooms on top of the existing HALL).

No doubt thats a noble cause but I wonder how many of us will be inclined to it.You can post your views on it and I will take it to him on your behalf.

But rather than monetary contributions we should engage ourself in knowledge contribution to the young minds there.Hope many of you will be doing that with your juniors and that can fetch has better returns than those dumb buildings and money which affects the lefestyle @accet very litlle.I will write more about that later.

Again I am lone but not alone!!

Centum Secrets

mmm.. I heard some mumbles after our final sem results over how they judged our projects.

I break that arcane now,...Its from a centum scorer..When I asked how did you manage to get a centum without even knowing the contents of your report she..hee hee (I wont let out he/she)
told "Its all secret dude ....i found a hairpin for the madam when she was in need of it!!""

So the ultimate moral is have enough stock of cosmetics with you,,,your appraisals wont be tangy then...
